Experience the beauty of winter at the lake and the small-town traditions you’ll only find here. For over 30 years, this has been the best winter celebration in the state. For the Local Drink Lovers
Wine walk. Alefest. Bubble Bar. And, the Battle of the Bloody Mary! There is no shortage of local drinks to taste and take home.
Start your first weekend off with a wine walk through the historic main street of Chelan, sampling while you browse boutiques and enjoy live music.
At this year’s Bubble Bar, get unlimited sparkling wine tastes with a catered brunch while learning about bubbly production in the Chelan Valley.
If beer or cider is your drink of choice, check out downtown Manson’s Alefest during the second weekend of Winterfest. More than 20 unique craft beers and ciders from local breweries will be served.
Spend Sunday morning sipping different Bloody Mary concoctions while you enjoy a delicious brunch and then vote for your favorite.
Once you’ve found your drinks, visit The Bottle Shop to purchase bottles of wine, beer, and cider sampled at these events. Located in the Chelan Chamber Office at 216 East Woodin Avenue.
For the Ice Obsessed
Get your fix at these chilly events. In downtown Chelan, watch artists turn 45,000 pounds of ice into dazzling ice sculpture creations, topped off with an ice tower lighting ceremony and live music. Truly a highlight of the whole festival!
Adults can also hang out in the ice bar on the first Friday and Saturday, or grab their kids for a slippery run down the ice slide!
If you’re feeling really brave, take an icy plunge into Lake Chelan at the Polar Bear Splash on Saturday, cheered on by spectators and a high school drumline! Then warm up by a bonfire and watch the night sky light up with fireworks.
For the Whole Family
Visiting Chelan Winterfest with the kids? There is plenty for them to do, too. Snowflake Lane, apple bin train rides, and horse carriage rides are enchanting activities, plus they can sip their favorite drink at a Cocoa Crawl through downtown, marshmallows included!
