Game On! A Guide to Sports at The Lookout
At Lake Chelan, “playing outside” is a phrase that applies to most everything! With some of the best weather and outdoor activities you’ll find in Washington, there are endless sports to explore, from golf to pickleball to parasailing. At The Lookout, your Chelan vacation home comes with free access to all of our amenities, including sport courts, parks, pools, and a private waterfront. Whether you’re a kid, an adult, a novice, or a competitor, you don’t even have to leave our neighborhood to get in on a good game!
Sport Courts
The Lookout has courts for pickleball, basketball, bocce ball, and there’s one thing they all have in common: incredible outdoor locations! Our bocce ball court is tucked into a beautiful corner of the neighborhood, with Adirondack chairs for spectators and expansive mountain views. At our pickleball court, you’ll find open blue skies and views of the eastern hills. And the basketball court (which doubles as an additional pickleball court) is the most impressive: set on the trail down to the waterfront, you can play just above the waterfront with amazing lake views.
Parks
Find a spot in one of our expansive grassy parks to start your own games! At Vineyard Park, there’s plenty of space to run for soccer, football, or ultimate frisbee. At Lookout Park on the top of the hill, play a leisurely game of cornhole while you cook out at one of our outdoor kitchens.
Annual Events
The Lookout sporting events are all about fun for all ages and friendly competition, enjoying local drinks and food, and meeting neighbors and other vacationing guests! We host one-of-a-kind events throughout the year, like our Labor Day Weekend Pickleball Tournament and our Thanksgiving Turkey Trot. (Note that 2020 events may have restrictions or be postponed due to COVID-19.)
Water Sports
From Marco Polo in the pool to zipping around the lake on a jet ski, water sports will be a huge part of your Lake Chelan vacation. The Lookout has everything you need to jump right in: two pools, a splash pad, and a private waterfront with boat, paddleboard, kayak, and jet ski rentals.
