2. Go for a Hike
Another great family activity is hiking. Luckily, you’ll have plenty of family-friendly trails to choose from in Lake Chelan. We have our own walking trails at The Lookout, and we’re close to some of the best places to hike in the area, like Riverwalk Park, Lake Chelan State Park and the Echo Ridge Trail System. Along your hikes, take in beautiful views of Lake Chelan and the Chelan valley. Riverwalk Park offers a one-mile trail that loops between the bridges that span the Chelan River. There are even shaded benches for you to rest! Lake Chelan State Park has the Little Bear Trail, which is an easy 2 mile loop trail. Echo Ridge has 25 miles of trails, with routes in the summer that are perfect for family hiking. Some beginner-level trails include Morning Glory, Zippity Do-Da and Upsy Daisy.
3. Explore Downtown Chelan
One of the best things to do in Lake Chelan for families, and everyone, is explore downtown Chelan. Historic Downtown Chelan is home to boutiques and shops, restaurants, entertainment and more. Your family will love catching a movie at the Ruby Theatre before grabbing a bite to eat at the Lakeview Drive-in!
