An Afternoon in Manson: Eat, Drink, Play!

Did you know that the charming small town of Manson is just 15 minutes from The Lookout? An easy and scenic drive right along the lake will take you to the quaint downtown waterfront, with just enough to explore for a fun afternoon. Here are our recommendations for what to do in Manson:

Alta Cellars is housed in a building that used to be a fire station, with large doors opening onto a patio and main street in Manson. Lounge in an Adirondack chair with one of the award-winning reds, soaking up the afternoon sun with friends, and your dog!

Rootwood Cellars invites you in with a vine-draped patio and bistro lights, a perfect spot for tasting cider and bites of charcuterie. This family-owned cidery boasts over 100 years of apple-farming, now handmaking small batch, freshly pressed craft cider with interesting combinations and infusions. And speaking of interesting—check out their events, like Sunday afternoon Ukulele meet-ups!

Lake Chelan Brewery rounds out your beverage options with their tasty microbrews in a cozy space decorated with vintage lake signs. This is also a great spot to eat, with signature sandwiches and burgers, plus an impressive menu including seafood options and many locally-sourced ingredients.

Lake Chelan Waterfront Park: If you just can’t stay away from the water, jump in here! The waterfront park is a great spot to lounge, swim, or take in the view. A public marina also means you could boat to Manson from The Lookout!

And one more pro-tip! The #21 bus runs to Manson from the bottom of The Lookout hill on Bighorn Way and the highway. For just a few dollars, you skip the drive and safely and easily add Manson to you win-tasting or happy  hour plans!

Other fun Manson events:

The Manson Loop: a scenic route through more than 20 Chelan Valley wineries and tasting rooms
