Dodge the raindrops and browse the bookstore. Riverwalk Books has been Chelan’s community bookstore for 25 years. Find new releases, classics, and a large selection of children’s books upstairs, plus gifts and games. Get yourself a good book to enjoy later by the fireplace at your Lookout vacation home!
Stay warm inside at a matinee movie. If you haven’t been to the Ruby Theater yet, this is a great opportunity! Over 100 years old, this theater is a piece of history, with some parts preserved from when it was the original 1914 Photo Play House. It is thought to be the oldest running theater in Washington. (There are new, comfortable seats though!) One movie plays at a time, with 7 pm shows nightly and a 3 pm matinee on the weekends.
Spend happy hour at a cozy winery.
If the weather outside is frightful, a glass of wine at a warm winery will be delightful. Grab an oversized leather chair in the ornate, rustic interior of Tsillan Cellars. Take in the valley views from inside Chelan Ridge Winery by the roaring fireplace. Or hang out at the bar at Hard Row to Hoe to hear the story of the quirky decor. Wherever you go, be sure to buy a bottle to take back to your Chelan vacation home for the fun evening ahead.
