Chelan is home to so many exciting winter activities, from skiing, to snowboarding, to sledding! Many of our guests love visiting Echo Valley in the winter, which is a ski area that has 70 acres and 900 vertical feet of ski and snowboard runs! There is also a tubing hill that the kids will love. If cross country skiing is more your speed, you can visit Echo Ridge Nordic Ski Area for 25 miles of well-maintained terrain. Other winter sports you can enjoy in Chelan are snowmobiling and snowshoeing, and of course you can build snowmen and have snowball fights!
3. Wine Tasting
Your winter vacation wouldn’t be complete without wine tasting in Lake Chelan! Wine tasting is one of our favorite things to do in Lake Chelan in the winter. The Lake Chelan Valley is home to more than 25 wineries and tasting rooms! One of the best wineries to enjoy in Chelan is Amos Rome Vineyards. At The Lookout, we’ve partnered with Amos Rome Vineyards to maintain and harvest the grapes from our vineyard. You can visit their tasting room, or try their wine right here at The Lookout! We provide all our guests with a bottle of wine from Amos Rome Vineyards at check-in. Another winery that’s just a short walk from our Lake Chelan rentals is Vin Du Lac, a winery and bistro that offers daily wine tastings and a lunch and dinner menu with local Chelan dishes. The best part about visiting this winery is that you’ll have a gorgeous view of Lake Chelan as you sip your wine! There are plenty of wineries nearby for you to try.
4. Relax at a Spa

The event takes place Jan. 15 through Jan. 18 across downtown Chelan and Manson. It’s the perfect time to experience Lake Chelan’s winter wonderland!
