Things to Do in November at Lake Chelan

November brings out two types of people: those who want to hang onto fall and those who are ready to fling right into winter festivities. Luckily, Chelan welcomes both types, with pretty foliage and hints of harvest, plus a holiday kickoff that can’t be beat. There’s plenty to do in November at Lake Chelan; read on for our tips!

While blue skies are still prevalent, hats and scarves will be useful for November weather in Chelan. The average temperature drops to 44 degrees with 6 days of precipitation. November is a “will-it or won’t-it?” month when it comes to snow. Some years see a dusting, perhaps in time for a Thanksgiving flag-football match out in Lookout park!

What is there to do in November at Lake Chelan?

man biking in ChelanWith mostly dry days, outdoor adventures are still a popular thing to do in November in Chelan. Go for a brisk hike on the Echo Ridge Trail System or warm up climbing Chelan Butte, bike into downtown, or walk to the Lookout waterfront to take in the lake view.

Fall Barrel TastingToward the end of the month, fall wine events join up with the Christmas kickoff. Following Thanksgiving, Fall Barrel Tasting is the annual event where you can sample new reds straight from the barrel. This year’s dates are November 28 through 30th (check back for more details on participating wineries).

Starting Friday the 27th, Chelan’s Small Town Christmas lights up, with the annual parade, tree-lighting, caroling, Santa breakfast, and more. This pre-Christmas festival is one of the most popular things for families to do at Lake Chelan in November (and all year!)

Turkey Trot at The Lookout at Lake ChelanAt The Lookout, we’ll be hosting our 6th Annual Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day. This family-friendly (and dog-friendly!) run or walk is a two mile course in our neighborhood, open to Lookout guests and the Chelan community.
